Must go as soon as it's open!!

I love Cold Stone. That is great you are getting one. When the one close to my work opened up I swear I was like every other day.

I've only had Cold Stone twice, and it was great both times...

I just wish the website said when the store is opening.

Drat. I was hoping you knew when.

I don't know about the location, though; it seems to be off Tunnel Road by about a mile. Hopefully they'll put up big signs or something, because I know of NOTHING in that area.

Maybe it's not as far as I think. It's possible it'll be near Outback. The scale on the map I was looking at was all kinds of messed up.

Ah. I can read road maps pretty well, but Mapquest doesn't give landmarks. I can see landmarks a heck of a lot better than I can read road signs. When all I have to go by is a street name and which side of the road it's on, I usually drive past it. Or infuriate all the traffic behind me.

I can't do the landmark thing.. I need road names, and how many miles from this road to the next...

That gets me looking at my odometer instead of the road, and I prefer to keep an eye on the road.

Unless I have a navigator. Then distances and road names are helpful. But I also like to take nonstandard routes to get places, so distances can really mess me up, if I'm coming from a different exit or direction or whatever.

*nods*

There is also a reason why I don't like to drive... I'm so bad with directions...

We use mapquest, and I'm usually the navigator while Todd drives.

Other way 'round, for us. Reading in the car makes me carsick, every time. So I couldn't be navigator, even if I wanted to be.

Cold Stone is the Goddess of Ice Cream Shops. Pure, delightful, heaven ...

It is! I'm very looking forward to having one nearby :)

Isn't there one downtown next to the New French Bar? Or is that a Marble Slab? I forget. S'good though. Love ice cream with the mixin's.

I'm not sure.. the website said that the one in Asheville is 'coming soon'.

I really need to get out of the Fletcher / S. Asheville area, and explore a little... Unfortunely, the only two people I'm friends with here (besides Todd, of course) explore less than Todd and I, and they have been here for serveral years *L*

Well, okay.. you guys have been probably more places than we have...

But you had never been to the Asheville Pizza and Brewery...

Sorry *blush*

I'm kinda babbly today

Ah. That's being broke and not wanting to go to the other side of town just for a movie, not a lack of exploring. I actually have this decent map of Asheville in my head now, and can often find my way to places I've never been just based on what they're near.

Whoops, yup. It is a Marble Slab not a Cold Stone. Well... s'there if you ever wanna explore downtown again, shares a courtyard with the NFB behind Pack Place on Biltmore. (Across the street from The Sword and Grail comic book shop, if that helps. :))

I haven't been the Sword and Grail comic book shop.. the only one I've been to is Pasttimes.

I haven't really been downtown... maybe I'll drag my husband down there when he has a Saturday off.

I hate Cold stone

It's synthetic ice cream, you shouldn't be able to fold ice cream.

Re: I hate Cold stone

Okay...

It's very yummy though, so it's still ice cream to me.
